They are making efforts to better understand how and if regular school-based testing can give the public more confidence in bringing kids back into schools.  In particular, they are trying to find asymptomatic individuals to further explore how the virus spreads.

The event is on Thursday, December 10th at Barnum High School.  From 1:00-7:00PM they will have 400 test kits available to staff, families, and community members from the district.  Testing will be on a first come, first serve basis and no appointments are necessary.  Make sure you wear a mask, and if for some reason you don't have one, they will have some to provide.  Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum for at least 30 minutes before testing, as this is a saliva test.  You will also need an active email address and anyone in your household attending will as well.

Upon arrival, you'll be asked to register on the website HERE.  From there you follow the instructions and having done a saliva test, I can tell you that it's not hard or bad at all.  Barnum High School is located at 3675 County Road 140 in Barnum, MN.  The testing event is also open to anyone involved with the Moose Lake School District who will have a similar event in January.
