The Horseshoe Trail Club Needs Your Help
Now that I live in Superior, I find myself doing a lot more on that side of the bridge. Years in Duluth has somehow kept me from venturing just a little farther into Wisconsin that often. Like Minnesota, there is of course plenty of beautiful county to see over the bridge, and you don't even have to drive that far.
The Horseshoe Trail campground is in Iron River, Wisconsin and they could use your help this weekend. It's their annual volunteer spring clean-up day and extra hands help to make the whole process better. In addition, they are also have a silent auction, so even if you can't help out with the clean-up, you can drop off items for that to help support them.
It's on Saturday, April 17th at 11:00AM, and the weather is looking great for it. Remember to bring your own lunch and something to keep you hydrated. Work gloves, and hand cutting or trimming tools will be helpful too. As an incentive, if needed, they will have fresh composted manure available to members on a first come, first served basis.
It's a good opportunity to get out of the house with the kids, and help to make a difference in an area the whole family can enjoy. They also have opportunities to help out at future events and those will be listed in the camp kiosk. You don't need to register to attend, just show up when you can after 11 at 18670 FR 245 Moquah Barrens in Iron River. You can get more information on the Horseshoe Trail Club HERE.
